About Acorn French Polishing
The Acorn French Polishing business started 20 years ago, providing French Polishing services for the local carpenter and antique furniture community in Welwyn Garden City.
Due to the quality of work we provided for clients such as Harrods, our reputation grew. As a result, we began working further afield, across Hertfordshire, the Home Counties and North London. Consequently, we expanded and modernised our workshop to provide new Services; paint and lacquer spray finishing for bespoke fitted kitchens and bespoke furniture restoration.
Furthermore, we grew the Acorn workshop team in order to sustain our quality as our client list grew. We’ve been trusted with the building and restoration of furniture and flooring for Queenswood School, Frank Warren, Theo Walcott and Zoe Wanamaker amongst others.
Wood Restoration Services
Recent years have seen a boom in the demand for wood restoration and finishing. A situation that will likely continue due to the nationwide focus on construction and renovation projects. As a result, the market has become somewhat saturated with new companies aiming to fill the void. Therefore finding a reliable company with the relevant skills and experience has become harder.
At Acorn, we use our expertise and skills to combine traditional French Polishing and wood restoration techniques with modern equipment. This enables us to produce quality finishes at affordable prices.
Having dealt with diverse projects ranging from natural-wood and paint finishes to creating bespoke hardwood furniture, to delicate antique restoration, we are uniquely qualified in our breadth of knowledge and skills.
Our fully-qualified team bring vast experience as highly-skilled specialists in every aspect of their trade;
At Acorn, our roots run deep and therefore our guiding light is the same as it was when we started 20 years ago. We remain entrenched in the local Hertfordshire community and encourage partnerships with other local businesses.
Our working philosophy is built on the personal and emotional connection we have with wood as a medium. A connection our customers often feel for their new kitchen, or for the antique dresser we have painstakingly restored for them.
As a result, our business has one simple aim; make our customers happy.
